SSL Certificates
Being an official Thawte ISP partner, we can provide SSL certificates at discounted prices.
A Thawte SSL Certificate has one very key role: it verifies a site as legitimate. When the certificate is requested, Thawte run a series of checks on the domain name owner and the company seeking verification to determine if the organisation and site are legitimate.
SSL also encrypts any data sent over a secure connection. Sensitive client information, Card Details, address details to name but a few, are communicated between the client and the server securely, reducing the risk of fraud.

What happens once ordered?
Once your order has been placed, and accepted by us, we will need to know 2 pieces of information:
- CSR key (Certificate Signing Request key)
- Web server software / platform the certificate will be used on
You will be e-mailed by us requesting the information once payment has been received.
SSL Certificates FAQ
- Q: You accept credit and debit cards, but not for SSL certificates. Why is this?
- A: Due to the large amount of money being transferred, the risk of a transaction being fraudulent is too great to risk.
However, if you can fax the information page of your passport, we will inspect it and verify it with a future credit or debit card transaction for a SSL certificate.
- Q: How long does it take before I can use the certificate?
- A: On receipt of payment, and the required information (explained above) , you will be e-mailed the certificate within 24 hours.
- Q: Where do I get the required "CSR key" from?
- A: The web server software you are using should have the ability to generate one. Contact your system administrator if you need help, or need to generate one if it seems unclear.
